New In: Personal Style

Lately, my personal style has been going through a shift towards the more contemporary side of fashion, so I set it upon myself to visit H&M the other day and buy some new bits for work that also portray my new style at the same time. From H&M I got a white, above the knee skirt with a slit in the centre back, I also picked up a pack of tights to wear under this skirt. Lastly, I picked up this Emerald green blazer that has a fitted boyfriend fit which I love. I also stopped by a store in Canada called Sirens, where I found this beige oversized jumper (I've been looking for a jumper like this for a while now!).

I spotted this skirt while I was on my way up the escalator at H&M, it was on the first floor hanging high up, which is why I hadn't noticed it until that escalator ride. After browsing around upstairs I went back down the escalator straight towards the skirt. There was only one small left, and I got it. :)
The slit in the back gives it a sexier look, it's the perfect skirt for when you want to dress professional but attractive too.

I always buy my tights from H&M as they last the longest and I get two pairs in a pack, which is always helpful if one happens to rip later on.

I really love to wear blazers at work because they make me look a lot more professional. I found this khaki green fitted boyfriend style blazer in Forever 21 and I fell in love right away. It was the last one in my size so I snatched it up. I love to wear this blazer with fully black outfits or fully white - It's such a statement piece and can be worn any season! It has two deep front pockets that I find perfect to hold my phone in. Although it's fitted, it has a somewhat loose and long boyfriend type of fit to it that doesn't make me look too dressed up, at least not the way I style this blazer. It's very easy to make this look business casual. For more on this blazer click here!

I have been looking for a beige jumper just like this for a couple of years now. I've loved the whole chunky sweater, rolled up sleeved trend because it looks so cozy and it does a great job of showing off accessories, such as my new Nixon watch. I'm not quite sure where else you can get a sweater similar to this as Sirens does not carry this sweater on their website.

I've been doing a bunch of research on watches lately as I've been wanting to make my first watch investment and buy myself a branded watch for quite a while now. The other day I was walking through the mall doing some shopping and I spotted this watch in a sports shop. I first saw it with a metal watch strap but once I noticed the leather strap I knew I had to have it. I feel like black and gold are such a luxurious and vibrant combination that's very eye-catching. Not to mention the leather strap was about $100 cheaper than the fully metal one. To read more about this watch click here.

Lastly, I stopped by TopMan to pick up some jewellery since I'm lacking in that department. They had a ton of stylish necklaces on sale so I picked up these three. First is this long chain with a gold dog tag on it with a hole cut out in the centre. I thought this would look extremely nice with white/crème coloured jumpers. Next is this long sterling silver chain with a silver T-bar in the middle (I love wearing this when I wear all black outfits). Lastly I picked up this granite chain with a marble pendant attached to it, it looks so nice with casual outfits, definitely my favourite of the three.
