It's been a looooong time since I last posted - and since you were last able to access my site for that matter. I've refurbished my blog once again and I LOOOVE the new layout, I hope you do too.

ANYWAYS, As some of you may know if you're subscribed to my YouTube channel, I recently went to the beautiful Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It was amazing! I used to go to DR once a year with my parents when I was younger but as I grew older, money got tighter and we didn't travel as much. I decided to go back this year, with the company of my boyfriend, and it was so relaxing - I felt like I was home. The weather there was SO hot but a lot more bearable than the Canadian heat. I even managed to get a bit of a tan. We flew with Sunwing Airlines which was pretty comfortable despite the small size of the plane. The food isn't free on the plane which was fine with us because we ended up buying breakfast at the airport and taking it on the plane with us. Once we landed in Punta Cana, we were escorted to bus that would end up taking us to our BEAUTIFUL resort. We stayed at the Be Live Punta Cana Resort which was HUGE.

The resort had a main pool where a lot of the daytime entertainment took place, another more private pool closer to where our room was, a VIP pool, and two hot tubs. There was plenty of bars on the resort as well as it was all inclusive and the drinks weren't thaaat bad - I'm not much of a drinker but the Mojitos and Piña Coladas were great in my opinion! There was also a spa and nail salon on the resort in case you wanted a mani/pedi or a massage, as well as a full functioning gym (which I obviously avoided for various reasons). Of course the night time entertainment was a whole world in itself. There was live entertainment at the theater every night with amazing performers, as well as a two-story disco/club connected to the casino - yes, a casino on the resort. It was awesome!

The beach was also soooo much fun! Men walking around with monkeys, parrots, and coconuts - I had to take pictures. I can definitely say I've learned the art of chugging coconuts and eating all the "meat" inside (check out my Punta Cana vlog Part Two to see this). I also held a tiny monkey and I honestly almost ran back to my room with it because I wanted to keep it so badly. It was so soft and cuddly and oddly enough it smelled like honey which made me fall in love with it even more - but I resisted and stuck to having my picture taken with it instead.

We also decided to indulge in some excursions to make the most of our vacation. We went parasailing, unfortunately I don't have pictures of that but if you watch Part 4 of my Punta Cana vlog you can watch me freak out in the air! We also did the La Hacienda excursion which includes a safari ride, zip lining, horseback riding, bungee jumping-ish, and riding in a 6-person atv. It was honestly so thrilling and I felt so alive! I think this was one of the best trips of my life and I am extremely happy and grateful to have been able to go and make some amazing memories. We're already trying to plan where to go next year.

Anyways, here are a ton of pics from Punta Cana- don't forget to check out the vlogs for more insight into my trips (linked below) !
